No More Nice Bright Colours

The last roll of Kodachrome 64 was shot by noted American photographer Steve McCurry (That’s his photo of the Afghan girl that created quite a lot of positive comments when it appeared on the front cover of National Geographic Magazine) who promptly turned the occasion into a six-week trip that will end up as a one-hour documentary on the National Geographic Channel.

For those of you who never shot film, Eastman Kodak may seem like a minor player in the digital world but back in the day Kodak was king.

The processing process for Kodachrome is pretty complex and only one company, Dwayne’s Photo in Parsons, Kansas still accepts Kodachrome. The developing service will end this December.
